In this week’s newsletter, we have an important reminder about medical appointments, welcome students back to campus with a video, unveil a new website to sign up for classes from Community Wellness at MIT Medical, and offer highlights from our COVID-19 Q&A series.
Do not walk in to the clinic. Please remember that MIT Medical is available by appointment only in all areas and specialties, including Urgent Care. That means that you must call or use the HealthELife portal to make an appointment.
Welcoming students back to campus
We’re very excited to welcome our students back to campus! Due to the pandemic, MIT has created new living arrangements, policies, and procedures. Most importantly, COVID-19 means that everyone on campus has a responsibility to lower the risks in residences, academic buildings, labs, and shared spaces. In the video above, the Division of Student Life reviews important details and reminders about Q-Week, meals, pods, and more.
Community Wellness at MIT Medical offers live and on-demand wellness classes for the entire MIT community
Community Wellness has a brand-new class website, where you can view and register for a wide variety of classes in meditation, exercise, and more. For instance, if you’d like to re-energize your body or soothe your mind, this Mindful Yoga session can help!

Got a question about COVID-19? Send it to us at covidQ@mit.edu, and we’ll do our best to provide an answer.
Who can get the COVID-19 vaccine right now? If you’re having difficulty keeping track, you’re not alone. Massachusetts is currently in vaccination Phase 2A — patients 75 and older. MIT Medical can only give vaccines to these patients at this time. We are committed to keeping you updated as Massachusetts moves through the distribution plan. Last week, we sent our first vaccine update. We will continue to send these updates as we get more information about vaccine distribution.
In the meantime, stay healthy, and stay connected.
