East Bay Community Energy Service

The East Bay Community Energy (EBCE) will begin providing service to Pleasanton starting in April. All Pleasanton residential, business, and municipal electricity customer accounts will be automatically enrolled and begin receiving EBCE electricity:

  • Residential and Commercial Customers
    Brilliant 100: plan offers 100% carbon-free energy from solar, wind, and hydropower at the same price as PG&E rates.
  • CARE/FERA/Medical Baseline Customers
    Bright Choice: plan offers 60% eligible renewable energy at 1% below PG&E rates.
  • Municipal Accounts
    Renewable 100: plan offers 100% eligible renewable energy at 1 cent per kilowatt hour above PG&E rates.

COVID-19 Vaccine Information

Alameda County is currently vaccinating Phase 1a: health care workers and Phase 1b: 65+, education and childcare, emergency services (including law enforcement), and food/agriculture as vaccines are made available.

How to get a vaccine if you are eligible?

  • Oakland-Alameda Coliseum vaccination is expected to open on February 16 for eligible members of the public by appointment. Appointments will be made through https://myturn.ca.gov/ (it is not yet open for scheduling at the Coliseum and is supposed to be in the coming days)
  • Get notified by Alameda County when it is your turn to be vaccinated. Residents, Employers, and Health Care Providers can sign up to be notified HERE.
  • Contact your health care provider
    • Kaiser Permanente: members who are healthcare workers, long-term care patients and staff, emergency medical services can schedule an appointment.
    • Sutter Health: patients 65+, healthcare workers as defined by CDC can schedule an appointment online or phone 844-987-6115.  
    • Stanford Health Care: healthcare workers who work in Alameda County, patients who have received care at Stanford Health Care at least once in the last three years, are 65+, and live in Alameda County can schedule an appointment online or by phone (650) 498-9000.
$1.3 Million Approved To Assist Small Businesses


The City of Pleasanton has approved over $1.3 million to assist more than 120 Pleasanton businesses as part of the Business Support Fund loan program. Qualifying businesses are encouraged to apply at www.cityofpleasantonca.gov/eddsupportfund.
