New Missionary Family

Pastor Micah Wildauer & Family

The Belize Mission Society is happy to share that Pastor Micah and Robin Wildauer along with their children, Samuel, Elizabeth,  David and Lydia, safely arrived in Belize on Saturday February 13, 2021.

The BMS is looking forward to seeing how God will work through our missionary friends in the field.  Please pray for the Wildauer family as they transition into their new home, new country and new call for God's work.

We Continue to Support

Special Food Bank Distribution

The Belize Mission Society in conjunction with Chairman Jose, Miss Maretha and Miss Harriet initiated a Special Food Bank Distribution on Valentine's Day.  The feeding program participants and community members who are most in need are being cared for through this collaboration.

The leaders in Seine Bight continue to monitor the need for special food distributions.  The BMS will continue to work with the leaders in the village to help support those most in need of essential supplies.

We are so thankful for the relationship of mutual respect that has grown during this time of distance. Your continued support makes this possible.

Scholarships

Following up with Students
Our Scholarship Students have been on my heart since the beginning of the pandemic.  Last month I shared that not all of the students had devices to effectively attend online classes or submit home work.  I have great news to share!

Principal Longsworth at Independence High School was able to secure tablets for ALL of our students!  I have been able to go online and see that ALL of our students are submitting their assignments and doing their best to play catch up.  Grades for the students will be available at the end of the week.  I am prepared for this semester to be a semester of grace and understanding.

Miss Harriet has played a big role in keeping the students on track with encouragement and resources.  What a blessing she has been to the Belize Mission Society.

A Note from the Executive Director

Hi Friends of Belize Mission Society,

Great news . . We updated the website!  The nerdy side of me enjoyed every minute of creating, editing and finalizing our new look.  Take some time and check out the website by clicking on the link below:

Belize Mission Society Website

In a normal year, our mission team leaders would be working hard on organizing their teams, planning meetings, investigating flight information, making our plans for when we are in the village and reserving their team's on the calendar.  This is the second summer that our teams must stay home.  So hard for us all who miss each other.

As mentioned in previous newsletters, we plan to send a small Recon Team to investigate available resources.  There is a tentative plan to go in April.  We are doing the best we can to make sure we are prepared for all possible obstacles as well as care for ourselves and our friends in Belize.  Because we are "palm trees" there is are alternative dates set in June.

I have to say this has been a challenging year for us all.  But, I lift my eyes to Jesus and thank Him for this opportunity.  Through this time of distance from Belize I can't help but feel a closer connection to our friends in the village.  Our Facebook Group as offered us an opportunity to have fellowship and grow in our relationships.  I am thankful for the time allowed to update the website, to organize the BMS and to learn more about the BMS and appreciate the history on how we got to where we are today.  God has been faithful and continues to bless us!

Please pray for the BMS and her Board as we make decisions on the right time to send the Recon Team.  Pray for our scholarship students, students in the feeding program, the Village Council and all leaders in the village.  Give thanks to our God for the many gifts He has provided for us while we "wait" and "be still" to know His timing in our return.

Go in peace and serve the Lord,

With much love,
His humble servant,
Cathy
