Greetings members,
The five-day Covid lockdown announced today has necessitated a number of changes to our program for the coming two weeks. Match and Play have endorsed the following changes affecting Club Championships:
  • Round two of the men's Club Championships will now be played on Saturday 20th of February.
  • The final round of the Club Championships will be played on Saturday 27th of February, replacing the men's 4BBB Multiplier.
Of course this is all subject to change, should the lockdown be extended etc.
I acknowledge that there will be some players unable to play on the 27th due to prior commitments, and other players who could not play this week-end who are now available for all three rounds. However it was felt that the integrity of the Club Championships calls for it to be played over three rounds, rather than just abandoning this Saturday's round and playing it over two rounds.
Please note that due to this Tuesday's Women's Competition and Wednesday's Men's Competition being cancelled due to the lockdown, there will be a Men's and Women's Stableford competition this Thursday 18th of February. The time-sheet is already open for bookings.
Pennant players are asked to get confirmation of arrangements from their Captains.
I sincerely hope that the current lockdown is just a small impediment to our golfing calendar, and that we can all return to enjoying our wonderful course as soon as possible.
Regards,
Captain Jim
