Urgent need in Myanmar
Many of you will have heard about the military coup in Myanmar since the 1st of February. The government officials including State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi are under house arrest, banks are closed until further notice and the internet and social media has been cut off.
Wide spread peaceful protests by tens of thousands of people have been staged and strikes held to protest against the coup. There is serious tension in the country and the people of Myanmar need our prayers.

TWFTW's work in Myanmar
We are currently involved in four translation projects in Myanmar (one New Testament published), with at least two more that are scheduled to start within the next few months. Please pray for the translators, their families and the work that they are doing to bring the Word of God to their people and that all hindrances to the gospel will be removed.

- Barry was priveleged to visit the peaceful streets of Yangon, Myanmar in Nov 2019. He visited 3 translation teams, checked Mark, and was able to start the consultant-in-training (CIT) programme there. Three CITs are currrently being trained using online facilities.
- We praise God for the growth of TWFTW over the past 40 years and the impact that we have had on over 40 million people by bringing them Scripture in their own heart language (see video above).
- TWFTW achieved a milestone in 2020 by completing 27 NT translations and 6 full Bible translations, submitting all to a printer for publication.
- In the last several months, we have been able to hold training courses again - partly online and partly face-to-face. 165 prospective translators from 53 language groups without a Bible in their language took part in training conducted in Asia, Nigeria, Tanzania and Zambia.

The love month
These are challenging times economically for all of us, but we wanted to say a big thank you to all of you who continuing to support our work financially, and for those of you who are continuing to prayer for the work. We love and appreciate you very much.
Jesus said in John 14.23, "Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My father and I will love them..." To show our love for Christ, we need to fufill the great commission to go and make discipes of all nations. We can't all go, but we can give, and help bring the Good news of God's love to all.

Please pray with us:
- Pray for peace in Myanmar, for democratic rule to be reinstated, and for our translation projects to be able to continue unhindered.
- One of the Lughuru translators has been ill in bed for 3 weeks and needs prayer to get better.
- Pray for the 5 literacy projects in Southeast Asia representing well over 5 million people in the region, plus the 14 new Bible translation projects started in 2020.
- Pray for the 2 new translation projects, the Bodi and Nayi, started in a very remote part of Ethiopia and having to rely on solar power or generators.
- Please pray for the 2 new cluster projects in Nigeria, in partnership with Wycliffe, which consist of nine language groups. TWFTW Diploma was taught there recently, with 40 students from 10 languages attending the online program, and 30 students from 8 languages attending the face-to-face program.
