Welcome to Winnetka! Byrne Dempsey State Farm Agency celebrated its grand opening at 890 Green Bay Road with a ribbon cutting hosted by the Winnetka-Northfield Chamber of Commerce.
“Bo” took over the office previously run by Russ Newlin. They offer auto, home, property, business, life, health, and pet insurance.

 New! Purchase Cocktails To-Go in Winnetka
Customers can now purchase cocktails and mixed drinks for carry-out and delivery in Winnetka!
A supplemental order to the Village’s Emergency Declaration Order temporarily allows restaurants with certain licenses to sell cocktails to-go.
Contact your favorite restaurant to inquire about their menu options. Cocktails are currently available at La Taquiza Mexican Restaurant, Spirit Elephant and others!

Indoor Dining Capacity Increases Again in Suburbs
The Cook County Department of Public Health has eased COVID-19 mitigation measures in suburban Cook County again and increased the amount of diners allowed to eat indoors at restaurants and bars to 50 people or 40% room capacity, an increase from 25% earlier this month. Beware Unemployment Fraud Schemes
Protect yourself and your employees from fraud schemes. The Winnetka Police Department has received many identity theft reports related to fraudulent unemployment claims filed with the Illinois Department of Employment Security.
A reminder to businesses and employees that if you received communication pertaining to a fraudulent unemployment claim, take these steps:
- Immediately report the fraud to Illinois Department of Employment Insurance
- File a timely protest to a Notice of Claim and give IDES as much useful information as possible
- Notify the Winnetka Police Department at 847-501-6034
- Report identify theft to the Federal Trade Commission
