Yes, definitely! Plone makes a great headless CMS: it lets any app or system connect to it via a built-in REST API. Using this tool, the user can perform all standard CRUD (create, read, update, and delete) operations as well as the usual content management actions available in Plone. In the back end, Plone still gives users the same flexible, robust security and configurable workflows they have come to rely on. In fact, Plone 6 (expected release this year) is implemented as a headless CMS with a new front end called Volto, which was built using the React JavaScript framework.
