Intercultural Dialogues: Engagement & Awareness (IDEA) Program

Apply by 11:59PM ET on Sunday, 2/14!

Looking to explore and share your identity, grow as an intercultural communicator, and meet like-minded Penn students from around the world? Apply today for the IDEA (Intercultural Dialogues: Engagement & Awareness) Program, where you'll get the opportunity to explore themes of identity, communication, power, and privilege in the context of intercultural growth alongside your peers.

What will I get out of the IDEA Program?

IDEA Program participants will be placed in small cohorts to engage in a variety of interactive activities, discussions, and exercises over the course of four remote synchronous sessions from approximately February 27–March 20, 2021. You'll learn how to navigate the diverse Penn landscape and gain awareness of the many cultural backgrounds and communication styles that make up our community. You will build connections and skills that help you continue your intercultural journey at Penn and beyond.

Who is eligible to apply?

The IDEA Program is open to all Penn students (domestic and international) who embrace learning from others, want to learn more about themselves, and aim to enhance their intercultural understanding.
