- DETOUR: Take Exit 21 (Piedras Street).
Crews will be working on closed-circuit television cameras.

Thursday, February 18, from 9pm to 5am
- Northbound US 54 will be closed to all traffic between Loop 375 and Yandell Drive.
- Ramp T which connects Gateway Boulevard North to northbound US 54 at US 62 (Paisano Drive) will be closed to all traffic.
- The onramp from Gateway Boulevard North to northbound Interstate 110 at US 62 (Paisano Drive) will be closed to all traffic.
- DETOUR: Continue on Gateway North, turn right on SH 20 (Alameda Avenue), turn left on Raynolds Street.
Crews will be removing an overhead sign.

REMINDER: Access to the Bridge of the Americas has changed
|
|
|
Reconfiguring access to the Bridge of the Americas is a key component of the I-10 Connect project. The most recent change came with the opening of a new direct connector from southbound US 54 to the Bridge of the Americas earlier this week. Below is information on current access to the bridge:
- From westbound I-10: Take Exit 22B (US 54/Alamogordo/Juárez/Fort Bliss) and bear left to access the Bridge of the Americas. This route is permanent.
- From eastbound I-10: Take Exit 24A (Trowbridge Drive), use the newly widened Trowbridge Drive turnaround to enter westbound I-10 and follow directions above. This route is temporary.
- From southbound US 54: Take Exit 21A (I-10 East/San Antonio/Juárez) and bear right to access the Bridge of the Americas. Exit 20B (I-110/Juárez), which departed US 54 near Zavala Elementary School, has been eliminated. This route is permanent.
- From Gateway Boulevard South: Enter southbound US 54 at Pershing Drive and follow signs to Juárez. Motorists who use the onramp from Gateway Boulevard South to southbound US 54 at Yandell Drive are not be able to access the Bridge of the Americas. This route is permanent.

On-Going Closures Will Continue Without Interruption
- Ramp H which connects eastbound I-10 to US 54 and Juárez remains closed until further notice.
- Interstate 110, the short freeway spur leading to and from the Bridge of the Americas, remains closed to northbound traffic until further notice.
- US 62 (Paisano Drive) remains closed to traffic in both directions between San Marcial Street and Gateway Boulevard South.
- Gateway Boulevard East remains closed to thru traffic between Loop 478 (Copia Street) and Marr Street.
- The ramp from southbound US 54 to US 62 (Paisano Drive) remains closed until further notice.
- Both turnarounds under US 54 at US 62 (Paisano Drive) remains closed until further notice.
- Intermittent closures on Durazno Avenue, Rosa Avenue and Uva Street.
- Intermittent lane closures on Gateway Boulevard East between Piedras Street and US 62/180 (Paisano Drive).
- Intermittent lane closures on Gateway Boulevard West between Boone Street and Palm Street.
Onramp and offramp closures may begin up to one hour earlier than stated times. All information is subject to change based upon weather and field conditions.

About the I-10 Connect Project
The I-10 Connect project is at the intersection of Interstate 10 and US 54 in El Paso County. The project extends from I-10 to Loop 375 (Cesar Chávez Border Highway) and provides access to the Bridge of the Americas (BOTA) via I-110. The $96 million project includes the construction of four new direct connectors, a full reconstruction of the I-110/US 62 (Paisano Drive) interchange, and removes exit ramps from US 62 to I-110.
I-10 Connect will improve connectivity between I-10 and Loop 375, also providing an alternate route to I-10. It started February 19, 2019, and is expected to be complete in less than three years.

CAMBIOS AL ACCESO AL PUENTE INTERNACIONAL DE LAS AMÉRICAS

El reconfigurar el acceso al Puente Internacional de las Américas es un componente clave del Proyecto I-10 Connect. Los desarrolles más recientes incluyen el estreno de un nuevo puente interconector de US 54 Sur hacia el Puente Internacional de las Américas la semana pasada. Aquí sigue la información de su acceso:
- De I-10 Oeste: Tomar Salida 22B (US 54/Alamogordo/Juárez/Fort Bliss) y continuar hacia la izquierda para el Puente Internacional de las Américas. Esta ruta es permanente.
- De I-10 Este: Tomar Salida 24A (Trowbridge Drive), utilizar el nuevamente ampliado retorno en Trowbridge Drive hacia I-10 Oeste y seguir las direcciones desde I-10 Oeste. Esta ruta es temporal.

- La Rampa H que conecta I-10 Este a US 54 y Cd. Juárez permanece cerrada hasta nuevo aviso
- I-110, la corta autopista que conduce hacia el Puente Internacional de las Américas, permanece cerrada para tránsito hacia el norte hasta nuevo aviso.
- US 62 (Paisano Drive) permanece cerrado en ambas direcciones entre Calle San Marcial y Gateway Boulevard Sur.
- Gateway Boulevard Este permanece cerrado entre Circuito 478 (Calle Copia) y Calle Marr.
- La rampa de US 54 Sur hacia US 62 (Paisano Drive) permanece cerrada hasta nuevo aviso.
- Los dos retornos en US-62 (Paisano Drive) por debajo del US 54 permanecen cerrados hasta nuevo aviso
- Cierres intermitentes de Avenidas Durazno y Rosa, y Calle Uva.
- Cierres intermitentes en Gateway Boulevard Este entre Calle Piedras y US 62/180 (Paisano Drive).
- Cierres intermitentes en Gateway Boulevard Oeste entre Calles Boone y Palm.

Sobre I-10 Connect
El Proyecto "I-10 Connect" se encuentra en la intersección de la autopista interestatal I-10 y la carretera US 54 en el Condado de El Paso. El proyecto se extiende del I-10 al Circuito 375 (Cesar Chávez Border Highway). El proyecto da acceso al Puente Internacional de las Américas (BOTA por sus siglas en inglés) vía la autopista interestatal I-110.
