CEnet Integration Services
From time to time we provide insights to the various teams within CEnet. This week it's the turn of the Integration Services Team.
The CEnet Integration Services Team is responsible for enabling services that make it as quick and easy as possible for staff and students to access the software and resources that they use in their day to day activities. The team's aim is to reduce complexity by delivering a sophisticated suite of services that are largely invisible to their users and to do this, support Identity Lifecycle Management, Access Management, Enterprise Interoperability Platform and Enterprise Data Access services.
CEnet’s Identity Lifecycle Management service is a SCIM-based identity integration and lifecycle management system for CEnet and its member dioceses including a unique and persistent identifier (CeId’er).
CEnet’s Access Management Service provides cloud-based single sign-on (SSO), Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) and Resource Access portal for all diocesan and CEnet applications.
CEnet’s Enterprise Interoperability Platform delivers enterprise integration enabling application and data interoperability, API Management and data standards & quality management through Master Data Management (MDM).
CEnet’s Enterprise Data Access is a set of enduring data access interfaces and enterprise API's to deliver local access and consumption of data from enterprise systems.

The 2021 Catholic Learning Online program kicked off on Thursday 18 February with "Seesaw School Champion" workshop in the morning and Apple Teacher iPad session in the afternoon.

Seesaw School Champion
Participants in the Seesaw School Champion course worked with Mia Leonard from Seesaw in the US to develop their understanding of how to support teachers and families in using Seesaw to support learning and teaching. Participants gained access to valuable resources to support teachers, students and families with the use of Seesaw.

Catholic Learning Online Apple Teacher iPad
The 2021 Apple Teacher Program started yesterday with 180+ participants joining the first session. The session was jam-packed full of ready to use classroom ideas to transfer teaching and learning by using the iPad
It is not too late to register - dioceses registration links here.
Participants will not only work through online modules at their own pace but also join Virtual Check-ins where additional skills and classroom applications will be explored with Apple Professional Learning Specialists and educators from across CEnet member dioceses. These co-presented sessions will be supported by the Apple Education team bringing a wealth of up to date tips and tricks to the table, inspiring teachers and developing their confidence.

Microsoft Mondays
Microsoft Australia is partnering with Girl Geek Academy, education social enterprise, to launch the Girl Geek Academy x Microsoft AI Technical Series to inspire and educate Year 7-10 (13-16 year old) women-identifying students to solve problems through AI through building technical skills.
This free initiative, commencing on 22nd February and running on Mondays from 4.30pm - 6.00pm AEDT, will provide a range of opportunities for girls including:
- Learn coding, technical and AI skills in a supportive and engaging environment led by Girl Geek Academy
- Learn practical skills like creating your own website, creating a Chatbot, creating a face tracking app, drawing with code – and much more!
- Access to inspiring women models at Microsoft & Girl Geek Academy – opportunity to hear their career journeys
- Access to virtual sessions in times that suit students: sessions take place after school at 4:30pm-6pm AEST, every Monday from February 22 – June 21 2021

Book of the Week
The CEnet member dioceses ACEN eBook Consortium, with the assistance of Lisa Nash and Saba Maniar from the Digital Learning and Library Services in Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta provide the book of the week feature for students and staff who have access to the SORA eBook Library.
Each week, two reading recommendations for eBooks or audio books, with age guidance are published for primary school students and high school students and to make sure that no-one is left out, there is a recommendation for staff too.
