Happy Valentine's Weekend! 

Celebrate with those you love and let them know what they mean to you. KSRA loves and appreciates the support we receive for our families, Board Members, and friends in the community.  

We are entering into a new exciting time for KSRA! We are excited to announce the formation of our Kishwaukee Special Recreation Foundation (KSRF) with a few events on the schedule. With the creation of this Foundation, we will be able to seek more grant opportunities and other fundraising events that require a specific standing through the IRS. KSRA is looking for individuals to join our Foundation Board and become Foundation Members - join us to be a part of this exciting new journey!  For the time being, all meetings will be on Zoom so you can attend from your comfy chair. The Board and the Foundation Members will assist KSRA staff in putting together and hosting all fundraising events. If you are interested, or know someone who might be, please call Dawn Schaefer at the office (Dawn is also available to answer any questions). You can be on the Board or be a Member - anyone who wants to help is welcome! 

Keeping with the fun, KSRA will have its first Golf Outing on Friday, May 21, at the Sycamore Park District course.  Get your clubs ready!!  There will be raffle prizes along with food and drink.  What an amazing way to start your weekend, while benefiting the KSRA participants. Mark your calendars now!
More of a runner or a power walker than a golfer?  We have an event for you, too! This fall, KSRA is planning a 5k for our Walking Club. As many may already know, our Walking Club has accomplished their goal of walking a 5K while in their program; this 5k will be a chance for them to show what they've achieved!  Look for more information on that event in the summer. Who wouldn't want to enjoy some time outside at these fun upcoming events while raising funds for the KSRA Scholarship Fund? :)

We have recently learned that some of our emails are getting stuck in participants' spam folders. Our computer system recently went through some security upgrades which could be affecting how our emails are delivered. Please be sure to check your spam folders and mark us a “good” or "safe" sender so you don't miss any important announcements.
