The Regional Relief and Recovery Fund has been expanded, and we continue to support SMEs in our community impacted by COVID19 that have been unable to access other federal support. If your business has been impacted by COVID-19 and the funding you have received thus far has been insufficient, you may be eligible for the 2nd round of the Regional Relief and Recovery Fund program. Meet Our Board of Directors
Meet Matt Cardiff: Matt, a Community Futures Huron board member, is a purchaser at Molesworth Farm Supply, farms north of Brussels and also helps out with the family catering business. He graduated from the University of Guelph in 2015 with a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Agricultural Business.
Matt is taking the opportunity during this 2nd lockdown to enjoy the adventure and many surprises of renovating an 1860s farmhouse with his fiancée Janelle. Post-Covid, he hopes to return to curling, skiing, and volunteering in the community.
To date, Community Futures Huron has helped 70 local businesses and maintained 238 jobs in Huron County through the Regional Relief and Recovery Fund. Funding is still available for those businesses who need help. For more info please contact us today.

Sandy Campbell, owner ofThe Huron Christmas Store located in Clinton, Ontario, was successful in applying for RRRF assistance to help her retail business adjust and cover her business operational costs for the upcoming months.

HMA Employee Attraction & Retention Program
The Huron Manufacturing Association (HMA) is a strong voice for manufacturing through the promotion of education, networking, celebrating the achievements of our membership.

Applications are open for the Ontario Small Business Support Grant. The grant, first announced in December, provides a minimum of $10,000 to a maximum of $20,000 to eligible small businesses who have had to restrict their operations due to the Provincewide Shutdown. Read more here!

CFHURON IN THE NEWS / FROM THE CITIZEN, FEB. 4, 2021 – BY SHAWN LOUGHLIN – While the Brussels Walking Tours were developed several years ago, new life has been breathed into them as they are set to receive audio tour complements courtesy of Dr. Chris Cooper and local historian Paul Nichol.
Huron East Economic Development Officer Jan Hawley says the project was made possible through funding from Community Futures Huron and a partnership with Cooper of Rediscovering Canada Television, with whom Hawley has collaborated on many projects.
