Welcome to Celebrating the Path of Love
Laura Collins

Inviting our Roots

(all sing)
"Day by Day"

Day by day, day by day,
O, dear Lord, three things I pray:
To see thee more clearly,
Love thee more dearly,
Follow thee more nearly,
Day by day

Song to Celebrate the Path of Love
(feeding the hungry)

"All You Need is Love"

Love, love, love (x3)
There's nothing you can do that can't be done
Nothing you can sing that can't be sung
Nothing you can say, but you can learn how to play the game
It's easy

Nothing you can make that can't be made
No one you can save that can't be saved
Nothing you can do, but you can learn how to be you in time
It's easy.

All you need is love
All you need is love
All you need is love, love
Love is all you need (x2)

There's nothing you can know that isn't known
Nothing you can see that isn't shown
There's nowhere you can be that isn't where you're meant to be
It's easy.

All you need is love
All you need is love
All you need is love, love
Love is all you need.

All you need is love (all together now)
All you need is love (everybody)
All you need is love, love
Love is all you need … (repeat)

Singing & Sharing a Holy Peace
"Get Ready, My Soul"

Get ready, my soul - I'm diving in
Get ready, my soul - I'm diving in
To the deepest kind of love
To the sweetest kind of life
Get ready
Get ready, My soul

Everything I've ever done
Everything I've ever seen
Everything I've lost or won
Everything I've ever dreamed
Has brought me here:
To the present moment,
Here: To a new beginning,
Here:  And I'm seeing life so clearly now

Get ready, my soul - I'm diving in
Get ready, my soul - I'm diving in
To the deepest kind of love
To the sweetest kind of life
Get ready
Get ready, My soul

LEARNING

1 John 4:16, 18-21
God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them.  There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear; for fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not reached perfection in love. We love because God first loved us. Those who say, ‘I love God’, and hate their brothers or sisters, are liars; for those who do not love a brother or sister whom they have seen, cannot love God whom they have not seen. The commandment we have from God is this: those who love God must love their brothers and sisters also.

Reader: This is ancient wisdom and holy word.
People: Thanks be to all that is wise and holy.

Reader: All creation is wisdom and holy word.
People: All creation sings of wisdom and god. Hallelujah!

  Dedicating Our Gifts to God

(all sing)

"Blue Boat Home"

Sun, my sail and moon, my rudder
As I ply the starry sea
Leaning over the edge in wonder
Casting questions into the deep
Drifting here with my ship s companions
All we kindred pilgrim souls
Making our way by the lights of the heavens
In our beautiful blue boat home
(words: Peter Mayer/music: Pritchard)

BLESSING

Benediction for the Path Ahead...
(all sing)

"For the Beauty of the Earth"

For the beauty of the earth,
For the glory of the skies
For the love which from our birth,
Over and around us lies, over and around us lies,
Lord of all to thee we raise,
this our joyful hymn of praise
(words: F.S. Pierpoint / music: John Rutter)

This Week's Quotes

The manifold delight I learn to take in earthly things can never drive me from my Love.
~ Mechtild of Magdeburg

Love, oneness, is not separation between you and life.  It is a progressive letting go, a progressive not fault finding...It's very beautiful and very deep.
~ Ajahn Brahm

on any high hilltop, breathing this air, this precious air, remember those who lost their breath
if you love the flower, don't pick it
a sudden sweep of daisies in a green
field, like counting stars, losing count,
starting over again
more shades of green than words scream Life!
life, damp grass between bare toes, light passing through poppy petals
the slow unfolding of a rose . . .
~ Linda France, "Murmuration"

Love is labor that returns us to wonder---it is seeing another person's humanity, even if they deny their own.  We just have to choose to wonder about them.
~ Valarie Kaur

And forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair.
~ Khalil Gibran
