February's Photo of the Month is Cliff Moulton working on a prototype of the 519. Also interesting in this photo is the row of different CRTs on the shelf. The 519 appeared in the 1961 catalog and we have more information on our 519 1 GHz Oscilloscope page.

Soon after the museum opened we uploaded over 700 photos to Flickr with the intent that viewers would help identify them. Volunteer Chris Curtin has organized viewer comments into a PDF index with direct links to the specific photos. The index is available on our Flickr page. Please continue to add comments to any of the photos.

We have identified three new schematic cartoons from the 7904, R293, and 468 Instruction Manuals. The 468 manual has a copyright of 1986 which might make this one of the last published cartoons. All our cartoons can be viewed on our Schematics Cartoon page.

Sharp viewers continue to contact the museum with Tektronix product sightings in movies. Our most recent additions are a TLA 5204 in Space Sweepers, a 400 series portable in The Last Chase, and a 555, 556, RM529, and 453 in THX-1138. You can see all our movie sightings in our Tektronix in Movies and Shows page.

David Olson wrote four short stories about his experience on the 468 development project. Volunteer Hale Farley wrote about the evolution of SPS TEK Basic Software. The museum is very interested in capturing stories about Tektronix experience or products. Please contact the museum if you have a story to contribute. All our stories can be found on our Customer Stories and Employee Stories pages.
