My colleague in the science department deserves the credit for this app idea: a proctor for monitoring student actions while watching a video. Proctor records when students play and pause, when the video starts and ends, how long the video played, and other relevant data to consider for increasing the chances that students will actually watch an instructional video. Easily integrates in Google Classroom. Supports embedded videos from YouTube and Vimeo.
Did you know that you can embed questions with video lessons? Try out the stimulus-based multiple-choice and short answer! It's a great way to enhance learning accountability!
Cornell note taking is a time tested and highly effective study method. The new Cornell Notes app sets up an easy form for students and makes grading a breeze for the teacher. The questions that students generate can be turned into flash cards at the click of a button. The AI is under development to help coach students through their note taking and question generation.
The new composition form is an efficient way for students to submit an assignment. You can attach a PDF. You can upload model responses that the AI can use to estimate the student's likely score on the task (I use this for summaries). There is a citation generator, a set of international characters for French, German, and Spanish, and students can save their drafts before submission.
You can add PDF files to inboxes now. Students have a variety of ways they can submit assignments: via file upload, the composition form, or Cornell Notes. The same three options appear from Google Classroom or when accessed from inside Innovation Assessments.
Scoring writing tasks using rubrics is very much easier in Innovation Assessments.
Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the new secure password reset process. Access the Utilities tab, select the "Setup Password Reset Key" button. Download a special code and save it in a secure location on your computer. Use this single-use key to access your account if you forget your password. This process replaces the former email reset feature.

By the way, if a student forgets their password, no worries! You can send them a temporary access link that you generate in the Students tab by clicking the "Quick Login Link" button.
