Sharing Our CLS Family

Thank you, CLS families, for taking the time to like and share our posts on Facebook. This helps get the word out about our great school!
We have two events coming up to showcase CLS to our community:
  • The first is on Friday, February 19, when we will have an Early Childhood open house for our preschool through kindergarten programs. If you have friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers looking for a school, please let them know about this event. We would love to have them join the CLS family.
  • The next event is an Open House for preschool through eighth grade on Sunday, March 21. Start thinking about friends and family you can invite to this event as well.
Now, here is the fun part: If you recommend CLS to a new family and they end up signing up for our school and attending next year, we will give you a $25 SCRIP gift certificate! We love our school and we hope that you love it too. This gift is a "thank you" for those who help grow our family.

So, keep up the good work, everyone! Continue to like and share posts; make sure you get signed up for school next year; and, most importantly, pray for CLS.

God bless your week!
Mr. Weber

The Lutheran School Partnership - Teacher of the Year

The Lutheran Schools Partnership desires to support and encourage the teachers in our schools. One way we do that is through the TLSP Educator of the Year (TLSPEY) Award, and 2021 nominations are now open. Nominations must be for current teachers in a TLSP school, and may be submitted by a parent of a current student in the school where the teacher is employed, or by a colleague. Please see all the details in the TLSPEY Nomination Form

February Building Campaign Update

Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
To God be the Glory! The campaign and Central Lutheran have been so blessed with contributions this past month. A $100,000.00 principal payment was able to be made, reducing the outstanding balance remaining on the loan to $1,469,948. The construction loan will come due this September.
Presentations on the “Bridge the Gap” campaign will be held at each of the three association churches over the next month. The 1st presentation will be held at St. Paul on Sunday 2/7 at 9:30 AM in the fellowship hall followed by presentations at Emanuel and Martini later in February. Please check the newsletter at your church for details.
Please prayerfully consider contributing to the campaign and please open your hearts and minds to those on the committee who may be calling on you very soon to discuss the project and needs of Central Lutheran School.

Bi-Annual Association Meeting

Please plan to attend Central's Bi-Annual Association Meeting on Sunday, February 28, at 1:30pm! We will meet at Central in the gym and will also be offering a virtual option.

SPOTLIGHT ON

Mrs. White + First Grade!

“Be still, and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!" - Psalm 46:10

Mrs. Danielle White, a Central alum (Class of 2000), teaches in one of our first grade classrooms. She's been at Central for twelve years. The thing that she enjoys most about teaching is getting to make learning fun, "My favorite part of being a teacher is making learning fun! I love all of the games that we play to practice new concepts and the excitement of room transformations that help students love being at school! I also love helping them learn to love to read! The growth of 1st graders from the beginning of the year to the end is exciting to watch, too!"

FUN FACT:
Mrs. White loves to sing and was the lead in "Meet Me in St. Louis" her senior year of high school!
Her favorite books growing up? Anything I could get my hands on!
