  • Communicates regularly with the Head of the Paintings Lab to ensure workflow is on track and that the highest museum standards are being followed in the care of the museum’s collections. Examines paintings, prepares condition assessments for acquisition, loan, and treatment. Prepares proposals for treatment. Carries out treatments and supplies detailed reports for those treatments. Assists in the general operation of the paintings lab. Aids in the mentoring of interns. Provides advice to curators on the care of their collections. Conducts research in the field of paintings conservation with a focus on the CMA’s collection of paintings. Presents those results in form of public lectures and publications. Educates the public on the field of conservation. Assists in conducting classes, tours, and Case Western Reverse University (CWRU) faculty to augment their course curriculum and the joint graduate program in art history.

  • Provides practical implementation, expertise, and leadership in areas related to born-digital and digitized collection materials. Carries out specialized activities related to digital collections, and provides ongoing training and oversight to others in the department who may carry out some of these activities as well. Curator for Albany African American History Project - Albany Institute of History & Art, Albany, NY
  • Develops a working outline of Albany’s African American history. Reviews and assesses the collections of the Albany Institute in order to develop a strategic plan for augmenting those collections with historically significant objects, archival collections, photographs, and oral histories that will further document Albany’s African American history and which can lead toward exhibitions. Reviews and documents holdings in other area museums, libraries, and historical organizations that relate to Albany’s African American history. Develops relationships and meet with members of the African American community to collect strategically and selectively objects, archival collections, photographs, and oral histories. Curates exhibition(s) about Albany’s African American history. Collaborates with museum educators to organize and present public programs, workshops, and lectures that advance public awareness of Albany’s African American history and which stimulate new insights and understandings. Works with the Director of Community Engagement to develop and advance relationships between the Albany Institute and Albany’s African American community.

  • Oversees all operations of the Anton Brees Carillon Library (ABCL) and the Chao Research Center Archives (CRC). Performs collection development duties and manages in-kind donations for the the library and archives. Re-catalogs older items and catalogs new acquisitions, including non-book materials. Virtual Archive Project Intern - Warner Media, Burbank, CA (Virtual/Remote)
  • Under the oversight of the Archive Director and Archive Supervisor, this internship will provide exposure to the inner workings of a modern Studio Archives. The Archives Intern will plan and implement a project to move media assets from a unique storage environment into our main collection. The work will be done remotely in partnership with Archive staff and vendors. The intern will attend online project planning meetings, review and compare inventories, create shippers and detailed instructions to our vendors, and track project and report findings.
