My commitment is a portion of every home sold in 2021 will be donated to Union Rescue Mission.
Union Rescue Mission (URM) is one of the largest missions of its kind in America — bringing help and hope to men, women, and children experiencing homelessness in Downtown Los Angeles. Founded in 1891 by Lyman Stewart, president and founder of Union Oil Company.
The organization is currently run by CEO, Andy Bales. Andy brings over 31 years of experience in community outreach and service to his “friends experiencing homelessness” as Andy puts it, as he leads Union Rescue Mission into a new era of unique and innovative services for Los Angeles’ Skid Row community.
Starting this year I will donate a portion of every home I sell to URM. URM strives daily to make a difference in the lives of every guest (men, women and children experiencing homelessness) they serve. I know this because I worked there for 4 years.
Before becoming a Realtor, I was an Account Executive at KKLA radio station. Los Angeles’ Christian Teaching & Talk radio station. URM was my client. While there, we created a show “Amazing Stories from Skid Row”. I was so moved by the life transformation stories that after a while, I left the radio station to join URM. For those 4 life-affirming years, I can attest to URM’s unwavering commitment to housing the unsheltered and helping them to reestablish their lives. Now an entrepreneur, it is important to me that my business give back. For these reasons, I am excited to give to URM.
