Donate to G&SP Black History Scholarships
Last year, we supported two Reverend Pauli Murray college scholarships (named in honor of our Episcopal parish), one for $1000 and one for $500, to deserving Hamden High School graduates. This year, we hope to do at least as well. Dinner for a Dollar and the Rector's Discretionary Fund will each contribute $500. We hope to raise $500 or more from the parish to add to that. For those of you who may have found my “give up/give to, two-for-one Lenten challenge” idea from Wednesday’s sermon compelling, this would be a great place to donate your no-more-chocolate-no-more-coffee-less-time-on-facebook dollars!
To donate, you may mail a check to Grace and St. Peter's with 'scholarship' in the memo portion of the check, or use the donate button on our graceandstpeters.org website. For those using the website, a follow up email to the parish office notifying of the donation would be appreciated, as the program does not allow you to designate the intent of the donation.

Dinner for a Dollar
On February 26th, Mary Ellen Porcelli and Andy Petracco created a meal of meatloaf with egg noodles and gravy. Green beans and kale salad were served as sides, with chocolate cupcakes served for dessert. Thanks to Mary Ellen and Andy, and all the Dinner for a Dollar volunteers for continuing this ministry every Friday!
