To be continued! Funding of more than €5 million available for dance in Germany until 2025
The new framework conditions for the TANZPAKT Stadt-Land-Bund (Dance Pact Local-Regional-National) programme to promote excellence in dance have been decided: the initiative by municipalities, federal states and the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media (BKM) is to be continued. The result is welcome and a fresh call for applications for the period from 2021 to 2025, for which a total of €5.125 million of federal funding is available, will be issued this year.
In addition to funding for new projects, the 15 pilot-phase projects can also apply, to develop their concepts further. The extension of TANZPAKT Stadt-Land-Bund will thus be carried out in a phased process, as decided by the programme’s board of trustees. Due to the Corona pandemic, more consultation sessions will be conducted and symposia will be developed on the topic of qualification in cultural-political activities. These offers are aimed both at local dance scenes as well as municipalities and federal states.
A national information event on the continuation of TANZPAKT is planned on May 6 th. All the relevant information on the application procedure is due to be published on www.tanzpakt.de at the start of May.
Call for applications: further development of pilot projects from the 1st and 2nd funding rounds
Deadline: 30th April 2021
Jury decision: Anticipated end of May 2021
Project duration: Flexible start, March 2025 end at the latest
Call for applications: first TANZPAKT application, 3rd funding round
Deadline: 20th August 2021
Jury decision: Anticipated end of October 2021
