The church building will remain temporarily closed to all due to the Covid-19 pandemic until further notice; except church staff, facilities chair and vendors, Board members, the Assistant Treasurer, and those involved in the production of electronic Sunday services.
Exceptions by the Board of Trustees will be made on a "one off" basis for restrictive opening.

Rev's Reflections
Last night, Joe and I had dinner outside. We were both wearing shorts. It was his birthday, so we were recalling the same day last year, when it was bitter cold outside, with quite a bit of snow on the ground. The World Health Organization early in the day had declared the spread of COVID-19 officially a pandemic, and later I learned that Gov. DeWine would be announcing statewide school closures. We felt the bitter cold in our bones that evening, and braced ourselves for a long, lonely (and very busy!) remainder of the winter.
How different this year feels.
Despite our best plans for being outside a lot over the winter, it never happened. The only times I got out were to shovel snow and give the dog a minute or two to do his business. He was really sick all of January and February and just didn’t want to be outside, so I stayed in with him. So now, the lovely, dry and warm weather and Toulouse’s renewed health make me feel like a high school kid ready for the longest year in history to come to an end. I’m more interested in bicycling and kayaking with friends than doing the easy-hard work of staying home and watching British TV on Netflix every evening.
This feels like the worst spring fever ever.
The COVID numbers are still shockingly high, but for the first time there’s actually an end coming into sight, even if we don’t know when that is. My dear husband was kind enough to spend the afternoon of the first day of our eligibility for the vaccination getting us appointments. In two weeks, we will be part of the growing number of Ohioans vaccinated, so that will be a relief.
Of course, getting a vaccination is no guarantee, and goodness knows we aren’t out of the woods yet.
May we all make the best decisions for ourselves, our congregation, and our communities, to bring this to an end soon.
May we not be lulled into complacency or poor decisions by the hope of spring.
In Peace,
Rev Denis

UU Young Adult Revival Network
Hello Unitarian Universalist Congregations & Organizations,
We are proud to introduce YARN, the UU Young Adult Revival Network. YARN is a project to rebuild the continental UU young adult network! We have had incredible success so far in getting established and incubating emerging ministries during the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes our growing identity groups, our worship services, monthly leadership calls, three online conferences, and more. YARN is based out of the UU San Francisco congregation and is supported by its staff member Joe Chapot, Ministerial Assistant and Young Adult Coordinator.
We’re reaching out today with details about several ways your congregations & organizations can help UU young adults, friends, and future folx find our community. Please take a few moments to look over the items below, help us out as much as you can, and be a part of our growing movement to reunite all UU young adult communities!
1. Learn What Are We: We made a short video that explains what YARN is. Watch and see what we are all about!

2. Forward this message to young adults in your congregations and organizations: Just getting the word out about YARN is the first and easiest thing you can do. Almost everything we would want young adults to know is included in this message.
3. Like & Subscribe: YARN is present on many platforms. Following us online helps further our reach in the UU movement.
4. Sign Up For Our Newsletter: We send out a bi-monthly newsletter, The Sweet Potato, containing all the young adult ministry opportunities that YARN and other UU organizations offer.
