Before submitting your proposal(s), read the presentation guidelines and review the five streams that proposals may fall under. Marden Paul joins global EDUCAUSE panel

HERUG 2021: U of T hosts global IT conference

U of T is set to host the SAP Higher Education and Research User Group (HERUG) Conference from April 19 to 21. Focused on IT and higher education, it will deliver innovative presentations, networking, polls, vendor booths and the convenience of logging in remotely. Read more about HERUG 2021.

Vikram Chadalawada elected to Governing Council

Vikram Chadalawada pictured with Rose Patten, Chancellor of the University of Toronto.In February 2021, Vikram Chadalawada, Senior Manager, Student Information Systems and IT@UofT Strategic Plan Delivery for Enterprise Applications and Solutions Integration (EASI) and the Office of the Chief Information Officer, won an administrative staff seat on U of T's Governing Council. This development is historic as it will be the first time two administrative staff members from ITS will be serving in tandem on the Governing Council. Read the full story on Vikram here.

Predictive Intelligence speeds up ticket response

University of Mississauga is the first campus in the U of T community to use Predictive Intelligence (PI) on its ServiceNow platform. The PI function allows Information & Instructional Technology agents to fix problems with more efficiency by automating routine tasks. New next-generation firewalls hardware installed

In December 2020, the Information Security team discovered that the tri-campus community had been hit by three distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks. Due to the attacks — and through tremendous agility — the team successfully accelerated a next-generation firewall migration project. Read the full story here.

This has always been a forum created by the community, for the community — and this year is no exception. The name of this event has changed, and we have gone virtual, but the goal remains the same: to provide a platform for people to share ideas, discuss trends and network with colleagues across the tri-campus community. Register here.
