Trigger I - Campus Quarantine Update
Greetings Transfer Students,
As you may have been informed, the campus has reached over 30 positive COVID-19 cases meaning that we will be shifting to an entirely remote instruction model and campus travel has been suspended. Please see below for a quick FAQ and fact check so that you may remain in compliance. To gain a better understanding of the protocol, please check the University Pandemic Protocols on the RPI website. If you have anymore questions regarding this quarantine, please reference the University Pandemic Protocol site. Notifications will be sent out regarding any campus updates, we appreciate your cooperation.
I live on campus; will I have access to food?
Yes, meals will be delivered to students who live on campus.
Will I have access to the gym during this quarantine period?
No, consider this a strict quarantine.
I live locally and I have classes on campus, will I be allowed on campus?
No, all classes will be transitioned to a remote setting.
I do not live on campus, do I need to come to campus to receive a test?
Yes, all students both on campus and local (within 25 miles) must come to campus twice a week to be tested during this quarantine period. Please keep an eye on your RPI email address to find out your testing schedule.
Can I visit my friends who live in the residence halls?
No, even if you live on campus, consider this a "strict quarantine" where you will not be able to leave your room.
What if I do not make my COVID-19 testing time?
You will need to reschedule immediately. Failure to attend your required testing can result in judicial action and possible suspension from campus.
Can I actually go home instead of quarantining on campus?
Not at this time.
