THE CLOW COMMUNICATOR
March 2021
Since our last newsletter, we have had the opportunity to visit in person with Naperville Pres in IL.  For those who don't know, that is where we were living when God called us to serve with MTW.  It was a sweet time to see dear friends and even meet some new ones.  Due to COVID and a winter storm, we didn't get to see as many as we would have liked to see.  We did get to share about the ministry in Honduras both in service and more in depth with the missions committee.  Also, they asked us if they could shoot a short video.  Click HERE if you want to see it.

We returned, and I think brought the weather with us!  Texas was hit with the craziest winter storm.  We spent a week with no power; bunkered down with friends in their living room; keeping as warm as we could with the fireplace as well as doing all our cooking in the fire too!  9 people, 5 dogs, no heat and the COLDEST temperatures could have equaled a disaster.  However, it confirmed to our hearts how needed community is!  And...if you are wondering...we are still friends!

The day that we returned back to our own home with restored power, we attended Briarwood PCA's mission conference via zoom (Birmingham, AL.).  This year, due to COVID, all missionaries attended online.  It was different not being in person, but we are thankful for the way we can use technology to still share about the ministry in Honduras!  It was a joy to see some familiar faces on zoom who have been down to La Ceiba and served alongside of us.

March brings more travels for us.  We will be visiting Lillian and Foley AL March 5th/6th.  Sharing for the first time with Lillian Fellowship, and then giving a report to longtime supporters at Grace Fellowship.  March 19-21st we will be attending Westwood PCA's mission conference in Dothan, AL.  We love sharing about all the LORD has and is doing in Honduras and makes us long for home all the more.

So what's happening in Honduras?

Tegucigalpa (Teguc):  Remember Ventura and Candi? They had moved to La Ceiba from Teguc to be directors of the Peter Project.  Back in the fall of 2020 they returned to Teguc to serve a two-year internship with the church. Well, both their families live in Teguc and they have been able to introduce them to the church.  While watching services online, Candi's sister gave her life to the LORD.  She is now attending in person and learning more and more about God's grace and redemptive love!  What a joy that we get to watch how God works in the lives of His children to bring more of His children to Himself!

La Ceiba: Cesar, who took over for Ventura as the director of the Peter Project has been doing a remarkable job finding creative ways to minister to the boys and their families during the continued COVID restrictions.  We received a message that one of the older boys, who has been studying in a tech school, was able to go to the girl's home and do some needed repairs around the house -something, John normally would have done.  How cool that these ministries are seeing the needs of each other and meeting them! Again, an example of the need of community.
PRAYERS
  1. Pray for safety as we travel and visit churches and share about the LORD's work in Honduras.
  2. Pray for the growth of the Church in Honduras.
  3. Pray for wisdom for our teammates as they care for the poor and needy; both physically and spiritually.
