Message from Angela Oh, SBHC Program Coordinator

Mid-Year Budget Adjustment:
The FY 20-21 Mid-Year Budget Adjustment amendments are underway. As a reminder, the additional funds are not available until your amendment or option letter is fully executed.

FY2021-22 Renewals:
We will soon be in touch with your FY2021-22 SBHC Program contract renewal letters. The information will contain your annual award amount and instructions to complete the budget with justification form. Please be sure to submit the completed budget with justification form by the due date indicated in your renewal letter to prevent any delays to the start of the amendment/option letter.

SBHC Program Performance Measure Survey:
CDPHE is collecting feedback on current performance measures and potential future performance measures via an online survey. Input gathered through the survey will help shape the evaluation plan and selection of performance measures for the next funding cycle.

Please respond to and share the survey with others in your organization who would be able to provide feedback on program performance measures. We would greatly appreciate it if you could share and complete the survey as soon as possible.

We kindly ask that you and others in your organization complete the survey no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 17. This will give the SBHC program time to analyze the results before the March 29, 2021 SBHC Advisory Team and the April 1, 2021 SBHC Program Changes meetings. The survey should take approximately 10-20 minutes to complete.

The survey can be accessed by clicking on the following link or by copying and pasting it into your browser: https://coloradopco.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_5bvQuqpV738GH1c.

    • This recently completed white paper is a product of the Adolescent SBIRT Work Group of the SBIRT Advisory Council, which serves as a committee of the Substance Abuse Trend and Response Task Force within the Colorado Office of the Attorney General. The purpose of this paper is to
      1. introduce you to the work of the Adolescent SBIRT Workgroup,
      2. advocate for further evaluation of and increased implementation of SBIRT in adolescent health settings, and
      3. outline the future priorities and projects of this workgroup.
    • Please share and forward this white paper to any partners or colleagues who may be interested. If you have questions about this work or know someone who may be interested in joining the workgroup, please reach out to Kelsey Robinson, Adolescent SBIRT Work Group Co-chair, at krobinson@peerassistanceservices.org.

You can also view the tentative agenda  - please note that the agenda is subject to change and we will soon share the final agenda with you.

  • The Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment Oral Health Unit has been working with the Department of Education to provide resources for connecting students to oral care. This oral health screening form (English and Spanish) was created for school nurses to send home to parents to identify any oral health concerns. This guidance document was also created for school nurses to assist parents/caregivers in seeking dental care if a student is determined to be at risk.
