I hope you're having a good week! We’re into the month of March now, and more vaccines are being administered, so we’re optimistic that there’s a light at the end of the tunnel, but we’re planning to maintain our digital Sunday school through the end of the school year.
We're excited to be back with another Digital Sunday school this week! This week, we’re looking at the Ten Commandments, Jesus’ clearing of the Temple, and a passage from Paul’s letters about how what we might consider foolishness is how God enacts God’s strength. We hope you’ll find these resources to be helpful to you and your family.
Why, of all the things that could have been in the Ten Commandments, do you think God picked these ten rules? What do these commandments accomplish?
Do any commandments seem out of place? Are there any commandments that you're surprised aren't in this list?
In the Gospel reading this week, Jesus gets angry about people buying and selling things in the Temple. Why do you think Jesus gets upset about this?
Jesus says he will tear down the Temple and rebuild it in three days, what does Jesus mean by that? Why is it important that Jesus already knows what's going to happen to him?
The reading from 1 Corinthians says that sometimes what seems like foolishness to us is exactly the kind of thing that God uses to accomplish powerful things. Can you think of examples where God worked through something foolish to accomplish something great?
That's it for this week! Thanks again for joining us and I look forward to seeing you next week!
