The February 2021 issue of Light Metal Age is being completed and will be distributed to digital and print subscribers next week.
Focusing on sustainability in the primary aluminum industry, the February issue provides articles on activities in the worldwide smelting industry, the quest for sustainable aluminum, addressing the SPL waste management challenge, and an overview of the ASI standards revision. ElvalHalcor Commissions Hot Rolling Mill
ElvalHalcor S.A., part of Viohalco S.A., commissioned its new four-stand tandem hot rolling mill in Oinofyta, Greece. The completion of the hot mill is the first phase of the company’s five-year plan to more than double its flat rolled aluminum products capacity.
