The lecture will be in Czech.
Czech emigration to the United States of America is still a scarcely covered topic. The online lecture will present the life and history of regional communities in selected cities (Chicago, New York, Cleveland, St, Louis, Milwaukee). Listeners will also learn about important Czech-American personalities who succeeded in politics, science, art or business at various times.

A lecture by PhDr. Martin Nekola, Ph.D., political scientist and historian who deals with the Czechoslovak post-February exile and compatriots in the world, especially in the USA. Author of almost three hundred professional and popular science articles and seventeen books.
