MSFHR Reach Award

We want to thank the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research for funding our Women’s Health Knowledge Translation Initiative & Science Communication Training Program. This program will provide knowledge translation training to students interested in women’s health and give them the opportunity to practice what they learn through multimedia platforms. Read more.

WHRC Working Group

We are looking for a few people to join our working group on Sex and Gender Based Analysis. This group will lead the development and coordination of a workshop series on SGBA to raise awareness about its importance and proper implementation. There are no minimum volunteer hour requirements for this group. Instead the meeting frequency and time commitment will be determined by the capacity of the team. Funding

NIH: Early Intervention to Promote Cardiovascular Health of Mothers and Children Multisite Clinical Centres

This opportunity invites clinical or community sites  to be part of a multi-center group that will test the effectiveness of an intervention designed to promote cardiovascular health (CVH) and address CVH disparities in both mothers and children (0-5 years old) who are of low socio-economic status (SES), live in low-resource rural or urban communities, or who are in diverse geographic regions of the U.S. with high burden of cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk factors. Due June 11.

CIHR: Team Grant Indigenous Gender and Wellness Team Grant

Funding is provided for Indigenous-led teams to implement their ideas through research and action-oriented, community-based participatory projects that will improve wellness for Indigenous Peoples from a gendered perspective. This is not restricted to those who received a Development Grant in Phase 2 of this initiative. Registration deadline is June 22. Read more.

SSHRC: Connection Grant

These grants support events and outreach activities geared toward short-term, targeted knowledge mobilization initiatives. 7-25K is available per project. Due May 1st.

Women’s Mental Health Conference

Yale is currently seeking session proposals for 20-minute presentations for their annual Women’s Mental Health Conference (Apr 23-24). All selected session speakers will receive a $100 honorarium. Applications are due March 7th.
