Dear Members,

The weather is changing, and the feeling of spring is in the air. This month we are commemorating one year since BNI moved from In-Person to Online. I want to thank each one of you again for your ability to pivot and thrive and support your fellow team members in your chapter. Hindsight Twenty Twenty, most of our members' Thank You For Closed Business has been better in the previous year than the year before, and that just shows you the Power of a Team. Kudos to all of you!

Our coming months are an opportunity to grow even more, and take advantage of the opening economy as a team.

The Power of One is our method to keep accountability. In the month of December the majority of our region has been in the Green/Yellow! That's a great achievement. Way to go! Some members have excelled in their activity and scored 100 in The Power of One:

Welcome to Our New Regional Leaders

 
New Director Consultant
 
David Yarn of BNI Synergy joined our Director Consultant team. David is the Vice President of his chapter and is an independent financial advisor.  As a 5 year member of BNI, David brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Director Team, as well as a lot of excitement for his new position. 



 
New Ambassadors
 
Ingrid Mejia of BNI Networking Partners joined the Ambassador Team in February 2021.  As the Visitor Host in her Chapter, Ingrid has a great understanding of how to welcome potential members to our organization.  She is in restoration with ServePro and has been serving her chapter since 2019.  





Shahnam Yazdani of BNI High Energy Lunch Bunch joined our Ambassador Team in January of 2021.  Shahnam is a Personal Injury Attorney at Yazdani Law Group, LLC.   As a newer member to our region, Shahnam brings a fresh outlook on what serves our newest members best.  She is currently the Education Coordinator in her chapter.  




Lloyd Malech of BNI Capital Business Alliance joined the Ambassador Team in January of 2021.  Lloyd practices family law at his firm, Law Office of Lloyd A. Malech.  He brings a unique set of skills to the team, focusing on favorable outcomes while always treating others with understanding and respect.  Lloyd is currently serving on the Membership Committee in his chapter. 



 
Denyse Jeter-Williams of BNI Bethesda Business joined our Ambassador Team in January of 2021.  As the owner of DJW Custom Baskets and Beyond, Denyse brings a lot of creativity and innovative thinking to not only her chapter, but to the entire region.  Denyse is currently serving as the Education Coordinator of her chapter. 

 
Member Activate
 
In the next few weeks you will hear about "Member Activate" - a National initiative to help our chapters grow, and invite business owners that are looking to grow their business. Your chapter will be participating in a Regional and National competition that will support your growth goals for this year.

When visitors visit our chapter, it is important to help them feel welcome. This podcast is a great opportunity to get some ideas of what we can do to improve the visitors' experience. This podcast will have some ideas of how to create the "Wow" impression and convert visitors to members.
