Message from the Club President
Dear Fellow Members,
I hope you are all keeping well during these strange times.
The committee have been working extremely hard behind the scenes with a lot of online meetings, emails and phone discussions taking place in order to have the club in the best position for reopening as soon as it’s possible. Many of us have attended online courses and we’ve also applied for capital sports grants.
However, we need your help because without members, the club can't survive. We need you to renew your membership as soon as possible. We have significantly reduced our membership fee for this year to €35 and then it's just €5 each time you shoot. This reduced fee takes into account the current lack of shooting and access to Shoreline.
For your membership fee you will be able to avail of training in the amazing Dargle Valley field course, which will have a new layout and 24 targets with suitable distances for beginners and experienced archers. There is also our target range in the meadow where you can shoot up to 70 meters.
Dargle will be open (as soon as restrictions allow) on Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings to start with but we will also be adding more evenings if the demand is there.
We'll be running courses on field and target archery, so if you've never tried it, do not worry. There will also be competitions in field and target shooting planned throughout the year.
And of course, we hope to be back in Shoreline at some stage later this year as well.
The good times are coming and hopefully we'll be training again in a couple of months so please support your club by renewing your membership at the reduced rate now.
Looking forward to seeing you all on the shooting line soon.
Thank you.
Stay safe
Tony Murphy
