Feeling more refreshed as we head into March...
I don't know if it's the glorious sunshine we have been having lately, the uplifting conversations I've been involved in, the heart warming feedback from my Zoom workshops or the exciting news of events and sparkly fun to come in 2021 BUT I hope it's not just me who is feeling the joys of Spring.
Easter Kits for all the family! Take a look at these quirky makes. The chick, bunny and flower garden were made by my official tester, lovingly known as Twinkle, a happy 6 year old who has helped develop these kits. Prices vary from £14 - £32 with multi buy discounts.

I know some of those old enough to read my newsletter get just as excited about sparkly glass makes as I do so, I wanted to play with the ideas of a Faberge Egg kit for you. Similar to my mini Christmas Trees, egg or disc shapes to play with.
Even more talk of Easter and not just because of the school holidays and excuse to eat chocolate. I do still have my other project kits available to buy online. Feel free to browse here.

I have had lots of fun cutting a few egg shapes, playing with colours and putting together ideas for family friendly kits as well as ones aimed at the slightly more mature. These examples of the bright and bold which some of the younger glassy fans have loved the look of (note the photo is just to show colours, it is not my modern take of how to design your Easter egg) you can spend lots of time gluing glass rods and chunks of soft glass in a stunningly beautiful design to enjoy every year.

Get in touch for full details and order form, no commitment to purchase.  Any orders placed by midnight on Tuesday 2nd March will be with you within 10 days. This should give enough fun making time before returning them to me for firing. You'll then have them back in time to give as gifts or decorate your home this Easter.
In January we had the first Connect and Create and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I get to get on with work in my studio and chat to you lovely lot. Initially I thought it might help those who are struggling to set aside some creative time to sit down with their glass kits but I think some of you just wanted to pop over with a cuppa and a biscuit!  The Facebook event has details but simply put, Sunday 7th March between 10am and 12:30pm, pop in for as long as you want! Just ask for the Zoom link and join us. The more the merrier!
I am so pleased to be showing some of my own artwork alongside some extremely talented makers at The Biscuit Factory, Newcastle. I was selected with 7 other members of the Contemporary Glass Society, a national organisation, who are passionate about promoting glass in all its glory.

The showcase is all online for now with high hopes of having the physical work together, under one roof, for visitors to see with their own eyes.

I am also working on 3 new sets of work for other exhibitions and events, I do like to be busy, so when I'm not making and firing your kits, hosting Zoom events or chatting about anything glass related I am adding my to my visual library. Then when a design idea hits me.... I just have to make it!
I wanted to offer something for those of you whose life doesn't revolve around chocolate or making their own colourful glass decorations.

So, from now until 14th March use the code "NotChoc" for 10% off my range of handmade dichroic glass jewellery. I know some of you like to give long lasting gifts or even treat yourself to some wearable sparkles so I hope this helps.
Let's hope the flowers bloom, the weather stays lovely and the world continues to heal x
