A word from DiMe's Executive Director

Dear DiMe Members,

As many of us start to bump up against “one year since I last…” pandemic anniversaries, it reminds us once again how much the world has changed and how quickly that can happen.

For me, it's been one year since I traveled, spent time with friends and family beyond my immediate circle, or gone to a gym that isn’t the garage! There are also harder and more personal events and experiences that we have all missed over the last year. These are losses that are unique to each of us, but which we collectively share.

It has also been a year since health disparities, the need for innovation to save lives, and the critical role of collaboration haven’t been front-page news. As these issues have defined our lockdown zeitgeist, our field has responded with extraordinary efforts to bring the full possibilities of digital medicine to bear as quickly as possible.

One year on, this community’s commitment to pursuing digital innovation with safety, effectiveness, and equity in mind continues to inspire me. At a point where we could all use a little more inspiration in our lives, let’s keep pushing. Together.

Jen
