Theme of the Month

Welcome, Sparkin’ STEM family! This newsletter is dedicated to a special group of people, as we will be discussing all the bright and intelligent women in STEM. Women are often overshadowed by men, as STEM is a heavily male-dominated field. However, as more opportunities in STEM arise, we have seen many incredible inventions put forth by women, and they are finally getting the recognition they deserve. This newsletter will contain fun facts, challenges, and opportunities to help you learn more about women in STEM!

Activity of the Month!
Challenge of the Month:

This month, we challenge you to find the names of six empowering women in the field of STEM. Look for these names vertically, horizontally, and diagonally. You have read about all of these women in the articles attached previously. Once you find as many names as possible, submit a screenshot in the form attached. We also encourage you to research some of the women that interest you to learn more about their accomplishments and history! Students that find the most names will be awarded an online certificate! Submissions are due April 14th, 2021. Good luck!
