Kia ora koutou
Our March newsletter kicks off with the splendid news that Jane Ussher’s magisterial book Nature – Stilled, which we published last October, is one of the four books on the shortlist for the Booksellers Aotearoa New Zealand Award for Illustrated Non Fiction. We could not be more thrilled for Jane or more grateful to the Te Papa Natural History team, who not only helped her photograph the book but also wrote its terrific text. We are grateful, too, to the book’s designers – the mighty team at InHouse.
You can read all about the shortlist here – and warmest congratulations to all the other finalists – and about Nature – Stilled here.

Showing dresses and fashionable accessories from museums around Aotearoa New Zealand, Dressed makes a significant contribution to transnational histories of colonial dress.
