SUSSEX COUNTY DEMOCRATIC COMMITTEE CAUCUS
MONDAY MARCH 22nd ON ZOOM at 6:30
This meeting is open to all Democrats, but, only Committee Members of Sussex RDs can vote. RD Committee Members will be registered automatically, but others need to register specifically – see links below for details. The purposes of this Caucus are twofold. First is to elect the Officers to lead the county party for the next four years. Second is to vote on the proposed/revised Sussex County Party Rules. There are registration and residency requirements, but the Officers do not have to be RD Committee People – application deadline March 15. RD38 MEETING SPECIAL MEETING – WEDNESDAY MARCH 24th at 7pm
This Zoom meeting will be to elect Delegates to the Delaware State Democratic Convention in June. RD38 is entitled to 11 Delegates and 5 alternates. The Delegates must be elected and designated by March 31st. Unfortunately, their election must be announced 20 or more days before it occurs. Thus, the election cannot occur at the March 3rd meeting and a special meeting is needed. Procedures for expressing interest in being a delegate will be discussed at the March 3rd meeting and in subsequent weekly updates.
