Saved from your enemies

"Blessed is the Lord God of Israel, for He...has raised up a horn of salvation for us...That we should be saved from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us."

Luke 1:68-71 - NKJV

Zacharias spoke the words of the scripture passage above. He did so as he was filled by the Holy Spirit and opened his mouth for the Spirit to fill it with words of prophecy. These words speak of Jesus. They are words that tell of His arrival as Messiah and the mission He was sent to us on. They announce our liberation! What should be our response to this?

We are called to ask ourselves, "Are we experiencing this daily salvation from our spiritual enemies, who hate us?" This is the question F.B. Meyer challenges us with. Ask it to yourself, "Am I experiencing this daily salvation from my spiritual enemies, who hate me?" On a good day you might answer "yes". On a bad day you may despairingly say "no". What can you do to have the answer be more regularly "yes"? The answer is to come more regularly to God through Jesus! We all so often muddle along, trying to make our way through the mess, forgetting we don't have to make it on our own. Be reminded that Jesus always lives to make intercession for you. Stop your frantic self-efforts and turn aside into the throne room. Turn up at the Throne of Grace! Heb.7:25.

Go to God and let Jesus see to your daily salvation. He will save you from your spiritual enemies! There are spiritual enemies who would like to see your undoing. There is an enemy of your soul. But Jesus stands ready to speak up for you. He will see to your salvation and that to the uttermost! He's got every base of salvation covered for you! Heb.10:19-22.
