NFPA Visits Fast Track High School
NFPA’s Fast Track to Fluid Power is a workforce development pathway that partners local technical colleges with industry partners and high school teachers. This network will create awareness and interest in fluid power and train students along a path that leads to careers in fluid power at NFPA member companies. Recently Joe Zwier virtually visited with one high school. Learn more.

Last Call for Applications: NFPA Fluid Power Scholarship
The NFPA Education and Technology Foundation is currently accepting applications for $2,000 scholarships available to help technical college and university students pursuing fluid power technology fields of study. The deadline to apply is March 18, 2021. Please share with students.

Now Accepting Applications: NFPA Robotics Challenge Scholarship
One merit-based scholarship for $40,000 ($10,000 per year for four years) will be awarded to a high school senior who participates as part of a FIRST® Robotics or NRL Competition Team. This scholarship may be used to study engineering at any accredited technical college or university in the U.S. Read more about the scholarship application and Matthew Morley the 2020 scholarship winner.

$500 Action Challenge Grant
Grants worth up to $500 are available to schools participating in a Fluid Power Action Challenge and hands-on fluid power education. Grant awards must be used for costs directly related to the educational aspects of the Challenge program. Please reach out to Joe Zwier at NFPA with any questions.

IFPS Launches "Geared Up Grad" Sweepstakes
The International Fluid Power Society is launching a sweepstakes for students who are looking to enhance their knowledge of and presence within the fluid power industry. Submissions begin on March 15 and close on May 10. Students are asked to submit via email: a photo of themselves, updated resume, proof of student status, and a brief survey. The winning prize includes: one-year IFPS membership, IFPS swag bag, announcement in the Fluid Power Journal and IFPS social media channels, Fluid Power Reference Handbook and a personal email from IFPS Board Members. IFPS Accepting Nominations for 2021 Hall of Fame
The International Fluid Power Society is now accepting nominations for this year’s Fluid Power Hall of Fame. Last year, IFPS reviewed applications and inducted five industry leaders in recognition of individuals – innovators, researchers, application engineers, educators, as well as sales and service personnel, who have made significant, lifetime contributions to the fluid power industry. Nominations for 2021 will be accepted January 1 – April 15, 2021. Any person can nominate an individual, living or deceased, who demonstrated excellence within their 25+ year fluid power career. Fluid Power Professional’s Day Photo Contest Open
The 2021 Fluid Power Professional’s Day Photo Contest is officially open. This annual contest is run by the International Fluid Power Society and Fluid Power Journal, and the deadline for submissions is March 31. This year’s categories include New Perspective, Teamwork, Fun with Fluid Power and the Muscle of Fluid Power. Winner’s names, photographs, and captions will be published in the August issue of the Fluid Power Journal. Learn more.
