Accredited investors can now apply for invite to SkyDeck’s Batch 11 Demo Day

Named by Forbes as one of the top five university accelerators, Berkeley SkyDeck is proud to announce its Batch 11 Virtual Demo Day on Wednesday, April 7th from 3 - 6pm. This invite-only event is open to accredited investors. Investors interest in joining for the first time can apply here. If you have previously attended, there is no need to apply again.

Carta CEO Henry Ward speaks to SkyDeck startups

Ward shared insights on best practices for building a robust network of founders, investors, employees, and service providers as he grew his company. Carta's valuation to date is close to $6.9B. Ward elaborated on his ways to build network effects businesses, how to identify n-of-1 markets, and how network effects have contributed to the success of Carta and many other companies including Airbnb, Uber, Lyft, and Facebook.

Nexilico
Developing precision biological processes, Nexilico (Fall ‘19 HotDesk), in collaboration with Microvi Biotech Inc, received a $1.12M grant from the National Institutes of Health. Applying both machine learning and bioinformatics, this project will develop a new generation of biological treatment processes.
 
RJH Biosciences
RJH Biosciences (Fall ‘20 Cohort) has announced collaborations with Kernal Biologics and CasZyme LLC to create new reagents for CRISPR and mRNA therapies, and to realize the dream of gene-based medicines. 
HiGeorge
HiGeorge (Fall ‘19 HotDesk) has launched a data visualization partnership with Tribune Media and SFGate to better educate readers on public health data. HiGeorge enables all publishers to easily create compelling visualizations from public data as seen here.
