NEW ARTIST OPPORTUNITIES
+ DYING.2021 updates
Calling all creatives!
As you know, at Taboo Health it is our goal to facilitate connections between artists and traditionally non-creative sectors that lead to genuine growth opportunities. We are reaching out because we have learned of an initiative and festival opportunity which we feel might be valuable.
If you hadn't heard, the United Nations has declared 2021 the 'International Year of Creative Economy for Sustainable Development.' In celebration of this designation, there will be an Arts x Sustainable Development Goals festival in April which is accepting submissions from creators across artistic disciplines and the globe.
If you have been developing a project which aligns with any of the following goals:
GOAL 1: No Poverty
GOAL 2: Zero Hunger
GOAL 3: Good Health and Well-being
GOAL 4: Quality Education
GOAL 5: Gender Equality
GOAL 6: Clean Water and Sanitation
GOAL 7: Affordable and Clean Energy
GOAL 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
GOAL 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure
GOAL 10: Reduced Inequality
GOAL 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities
GOAL 12: Responsible Consumption and Production
GOAL 13: Climate Action
GOAL 14: Life Below Water
GOAL 15: Life on Land
GOAL 16: Peace and Justice Strong Institutions
GOAL 17: Partnerships to Achieve the Goals
this may be a valuable exhibition opportunity for you! The final submission deadline is March 22nd, and you can find the link to the submission page here:
Of additional interest may be the organization Create 2030, created by the same person managing the Arts x SDGS festival. Create 2030 is working to partner creatives with the UN and/or global NGOs to encourage movement towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
As you can imagine, this year our festival is not business as usual!
From January 29-30th, we hosted our Virtual Dying. Dialogues Symposium - if you missed it, we will be posting recaps on our Dying.series Instagram and Twitter soon! Until then, you can read about our speakers in detail + check out their beautiful projects here.
We have also been working hard behind the scenes to prepare a very exciting set of exhibition programming we had originally slated for January - we're looking forward to meeting you again, hopefully socially distanced and in-person, sometime in June 2021 - stay tuned!
