Today’s E-Connect comes from Jeff Lake.  Jeff recently transitioned to a new position of Minister of Community Ministries.  In this new role, he will lead us to be more involved and connected in our community of South Sumner County.

The pandemic has affected us in many ways this past year.  One of the most impactful ways has been isolation from family, friends, church, etc.  We are made for community and relationships.  God said in His Word that it was not good for man to be alone.  We need relationships.

This year one of my responsibilities is to get our church family out in the community and show Christ’s love to our neighbors.  A basic way we can do this is to pray for our neighbors by name.  For several weeks now I have been meeting with groups of people in our church and inviting them to participate in praying for their neighbors.

We have had a great response and almost 100% participation from everyone who has attended this information meeting.  The meeting lasts only 30 minutes and you only have to attend one time.

Would you commit to praying for the neighbors on your street and in your neighborhood?

I hope you will contact me and choose to come and hear about how we can reach our community for Jesus Christ through praying for our neighbors.
