Sunday of the Steward

The Sunday of the Steward is the fourth Sunday of Great Lent. The core lesson behind its story teaches us to use our resources wisely, in order to gain our spiritual and eternal salvation. The steward in the story was corrupt, yet he managed to change the course of his destiny wisely, so when he was fired from his job, he could find favor among other people in hopes of finding a new job. Similarly, we are called to use our time here on Earth wisely to gain the eternal life. More on this during the sermon on Sunday, so come to church.

Sunday, March 7, 2021: Sunday of the Steward; Reverend Fr. Artsakh Badoyan will celebrate Divine Liturgy and deliver sermon starting at 11:00 am.

* Mr. & Mrs. Vartivar Badoyan and family, Mr. & Mrs. Vartan & Silva Jinbachian, as well as the entire Jinbachian and Badoyan families, request Requiem Service/Hokehankisd (Karassounk), for their beloved late brother, father, uncle and relative, Bedros Badoyan who passed away in Lebanon. Requiem Service is also being requested in memory of their late beloved parents Puzant & Arshalouys Ipegian.

* Ms. Arpina Maro Devio, Christopher George Kevork Devio, Ethan Ellen and Heather Grant III & children, Araxi Grant and Carlos Mungaray, Herman and Shooshig Hintiryan, Ghazar and Marina Terterian, and Yeretsgin Shakeh and Father Abraham Ohanesian and children, request Requiem Service in memory of their late husband, father and relative, Roland Alfred Devio Jr.

This year the Lenten Season ends on Easter Eve. "Jrakalooyts", Saturday, April 3, 2021.

During the forty days of Lent, Sunrise Services will be held every Wednesday starting at 11:00 am and Vigil Service every Friday at 6:00 pm.

Friday, March 5, 2021: Join us for Vigil Service at 6:00 pm at St. Garabed Church.

Wednesday, March 10, 2021: Join us for Sunrise Service (Meetchink) starting at 11:00 am at St. Garabed Church.

Past Events

On Saturday, February 27, 2021, by the invitation of Chairlady Ung. Siroun Bedirian, Rev. Fr. Artsakh Badoyan participated in the A.R.S. "Shoushi" Chapter membership meeting at St. Garabed Church.
Ung. Siroun Bedirian and principal, Ung. Houry Darakjian, each gave a brief introduction about A.R.S. "Shoushi" Chapter and Verjine Koujakian Saturday school.
Thereafter, Fr. Artsakh Badoyan met all Ungerouhis and conveyed his best remarks to A.R.S. and expressed his desire to work closely together.

On Sunday, February 28, 2021, Archpriest Fr. Vahan Gosdanian celebrated his last Divine Liturgy and delivered his last sermon at St. Garabed Armenian Apostolic Church of Las Vegas.
On behalf of the Prelate, H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, our newly appointed Pastor, Rev. Fr. Artsakh Badoyan delivered his message.
Thereafter, Archpriest Fr. Vahan Gosdanian conveyed his remarks and thanked St. Garabed Church Board of Trustees, Delegates, Choir, Deacons, Acolytes, Altar boys as well as board members from sister organizations for all their dedication and devotion towards St. Garabed Church during the past several years.

Obituary

It is with our heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Mrs. Zarouhi Gharibian, who passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021. The funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 5, 2021, at St. Garabed Armenian Apostolic Church.

Viewing will take place from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by the Funeral Service.

In lieu of flowers, kindly make your donations to either St. Garabed Church or Homenetmen Las Vegas Artsakh Chapter.
