Austin's citywide fundraiser, Amplify Austin,
is right around the corner!

Dear <<First Name>>:

What a crazy two weeks it's been in Austin! We hope everyone made it through the winter storm as safely as was possible – it forced us to cancel our planned recording session for Go to the Principals' Office, but we used our time to finish some outstanding paperwork, and to get a head start on preparing music editions for Schütz & Giggles.

Amplify Austin, our annual city-wide day of fundraising, takes place later this week (the evening of the 4th through the next afternoon). In addition to being a way to build awareness of  and raise money for Austin's many non-profits, there are donation matching opportunities available, including $20,000 being matched by Tito's Vodka. If you haven't made your annual contribution, or have some spare change from our couch cushions lying around, this is an easy way to turn that into free money via matching! Our profile for the fundraiser can be found here. Be our first contributor!

It may seem like we've been doing a lot of fundraising and not a lot of music-making, but we promise there's music on the way. In addition to using the funding we are and have been raising to pay for these two planned programs, we're also putting some of it into our reserves, since no one really knows when the return to live programming will be, nor what it will be like. We want to be able to not only survive the difficulties of the present pandemic, but also continue to flourish and grow in the years to come.

Thanks to all of you who've so generously supported us with financial contributions, offers of professional services, expressions of interest in board and volunteer opportunities, and most importantly, your love and moral support. We only exist because of you, and for you, and for your many modes of support we are immeasurably grateful.

Musically yours,

Billy Traylor – Artistic Director
Stephanie Noori – Concertmaster
Chelsee Sandaker – Ensemble Administrator
James Moran – President, Board of Director

Ten years ago, we formed as a chamber ensemble, and we’ll commemorate the midpoint of our tenth season with a return to the original conception we had for our band! This program of chamber music, curated and performed by seven of our principal players, will be a smörgåsbord of chamber music from all over Europe, with each piece being introduced by the player who selected it.
