Mapping Spring Photos

We need your help to prove that Spring is on the way

When you're walking round the park (or anywhere) please take photos of signs of Spring?   Then it can be added to our "Spring is on the Way" map.

If you have a gmail address you can add the picture yourself using these instructions.

If not share your photo on social media tagged with #BOSFonline or send it to Mat at BOSF and we can add it to the map

Survey for Gelbe Farm Park

Birmingham City Council are currently working with the Glebe Farm Residents Group on a funding bid for Glebe Farm Recreation Ground/Park.  The group have produced a survey to get feedback on the local park - that we hope will add support for the funding bid.

Please can you spend some time to complete the survey, whether you use the park or not, as the more people complete the survey the more helpful it will be.

Please click here for the survey.

Research in need of Your Help!

People Need Parks!
A Research Assistant working for the City Region Economic Development Institute (City-REDI) has contacted us at BOSF as she wants to ask a few questions about the 'Friends of...' groups in Birmingham for her research.

"The Birmingham Open Spaces Forum (BOSF) and 'Friends of...' groups around Birmingham have been doing essential work to care for our green spaces. This survey aims to find out more about the demographics, roles, and responsibilities of these groups to explore how they improve community access. The questionnaire will begin with a brief assessment of group demographics, followed by an opportunity to hear your thoughts with a few short answer questions."

Please can you give a few minutes of your time for her survey by clicking here.

Thank you!

Shaping our City Together

Birmingham City Council are asking for your feedback on the emerging new strategy for Central Birmingham as this will shape future statutory planning policy and guidance. ‘Shaping our City Together,’ is currently subject to public consultation until Friday 26th March 2021. You can access the Vision document by visiting the website by clicking here.

Whilst a template for change has been outlined, it is not a final blueprint. The publication of this document is the beginning of a continuous process of engagement to ensure that all communities across Birmingham have an opportunity to shape and deliver our shared future.

You can get involved in the public consultation by: CityCentreDevelopmentPlanning@birmingham.gov.uk

The feedback received will support the production of the OFCP Draft Central Birmingham Framework to be launched in autumn 2021. Please share this with as many interested parties as possible as we would particularly welcome suggestions and comments from residents and local businesses to help shape change in central Birmingham.
