WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT FUNDING FOR 2021/22... ARC ARE NOW TENDERING - YOUR REQUIREMENTS ARE NEEDED BY 16TH MARCH 2021
The Workforce Development Fund (WDF) for 2021/22 is now available for tender with Skills for Care to secure a new 12 month funding contract to disburse across our partnership.
The Workforce Development Fund is a funding stream from the Department of Health and Social Care disseminated by Skills for Care to support Adult Health & Social Care providers in England. It will support the provision of high quality care and continuing professional development (CPD) of staff across the adult social care sector by providing a contribution towards the costs of eligible vocational qualifications, some non-accredited learning programmes and digital learning modules for Managers. These learning programmes are delivered under license by Skills for Care's Endorsed Providers. The Digital Modules have been developed by Skills for Care.
Employers can claim back a contribution towards the costs of employees completing health and social care qualifications and learning programmes.
Please Note that the Workforce Development Fund can only be utilised by Adult Social Care Employers within England. Learning Provider cannot hold a grant agreement for this Funding.
Key Sector Priorities
- Additional Support to Registered Managers, Frontline Managers, Deputies and Supervisors, enhanced funding on completion of Digital Learning modules, and Learning Programmes.
- Enhanced Funding per learner on completion of the adult care worker and lead adult care worker apprenticeship standards.
- Enhanced Funding for completion of apprenticeship standards to cover associated costs of apprenticeships such as 20% off the job learning.
Workforce Plan Requirements:
For your requirements to be included in our bid, you will need to complete a 'Workforce Plan' and return to us by Tuesday 16th March 2021 by 4pm.
We will email a Workforce Plan and a list of funded qualifications and learning objectives to you later today. Please check this as some Qualifications will no longer be funded in 2021/22 and are highlighted orange on the report.
We would appreciate a realistic estimate of your funding requirements, both 2019/20 and 2020/21 have been difficult across the adult social care sector throughout the pandemic and we are hopeful that 2021/22 your employees will once again have the opportunities to achieve their learning aims.
It is important to think about how many learners you expect to achieve full qualifications and take into account your staff turnover. In this respect please give thought to your workforce plan and funding requirements.
We expect certificates to be eligible for funding that will be dated between 1st January 2021 to 31st March 2022, please also consider what you may have to come through within these dates.
We are happy to work with you and establish your learning and development needs so that you can complete the workforce plan effectively.
We will be informed of the outcome of our tender in May/June 2021 and will communicate with all of our partners following the feedback from Skills for Care.
