Sam Mauger Speaking at Technology Event
CEO of the Third Age Trust, Sam Mauger, will be talking at the ITEC virtual Conference on 22-25 March. The Conference will cover how the integration of technologies can better serve communities and empower people to manage their own self-care.
All u3a members can claim a free ticket to the four day event by clicking on this link. Select the Four Day Package and when prompted for a booking code please enter VITEC/U3A21
There are also still spaces on our event with Vegetarian for Life on 22 March. In this event, join other u3a members as roving chef Alex shows us how to cook springtime treats; vegetable korma, hazelnut truffles and lemon meringue pie.
March 23 marks a year of pandemic restrictions and levels of lockdown across all the regions, nations and Islands of the United Kingdom. The year has demonstrated more than ever the resilience and creativity of u3a members as we have adapted to new ways of connecting.
The Slow Ways Project aims to create a network of safe, easy, and enjoyable walking routes that connect towns, cities, and villages across Great Britain once lockdown is lifted. u3a walking groups have responded positively to the project.
Dan Raven-Ellison and Rob Bushby from Slow Ways have offered to host two webinars for u3a members, on Tuesday 20 April and Monday 17 May. Book a place.
If you are a u3a Walking Group and want to register your interest in this initiative - go to slowways.uk or contact Third Age Trust Chair, Ian McCannah.
Our Spring Learning Programme is coming soon, with exciting initiatives to keep learning and connected over the upcoming months.
