Online Events from SynBio IRC
Biomaker Monthly Catch-Ups
Next meeting 30th March, 3pm

A series of informal sessions to be held monthly online. This will be an opportunity to chat, ‘show-and-tell’, share project progress, discuss ideas with other participants, and ask questions. Open to all Biomaker participants, and anyone else interested in the intersection of biology, engineering and computing. Meeting will be held at 3pm (GMT) on the final Tuesday of each month. The nest event will be held on 30th March.

Biology Club: Bio Community around the World
8th March, 7:30pm

All around the world, communities of biologists, biohackers and biomakers have come together to deliver easy access to science by providing DIY community laboratories centred around sharing ideas, building fellowships and contributing to innovation. Learn more about the initiatives of several DIYbio communities spread around the globe in a virtual social event that aims to explore the mission and values of this movement.

Reconstructing lineage histories of individual cells in mice and blood cancers
11th March, 10am

The Cambridge University Synthetic Biology Society is delighted to host Sahand Hormoz, an assistant professor from Harvard Medical School and rising star in synthetic biology, who will discuss his recent efforts using synthetic biology tools to record the lineage histories of individual cells. His talk will include a lineage-recording mouse model that he and his collaborators have engineered, as well as case studies for how single-cell lineage histories can give new insights into blood cancers.

The Knowledge Exchange Network (KTN) are pleased to present this introductory webinar so you can get prepared before the first funding calls are announced for the next EU Framework Programme: Horizon Europe. The webinar will also offer an opportunity for delegates to learn about the support available to applicants via the National Contact Points (NCPs), Innovate UK EDGE (formerly Enterprise Europe Network – EEN) and KTN Global Alliance.

The Cambridge Reproduction SRI are delighted to invite you to the second Anne McLaren Symposium. The theme for this second meeting again emphasises translational bioscience in its widest sense, this time with a focus on synthetic gametes, and once again drawing on a wide range of disciplinary perspectives.
