Registrations are opening soon!

Swim to Save Lives this March
One in four people in Australia aged 14-25 live with a mental health difficulty and sadly 70 percent of those living with a mental health difficulty do not get the help they need. This hits very close to home for us in the Swimming NSW community, with nearly one quarter of our membership base directly impacted.
So this March, we are calling on you, our clubs and members, to get behind Laps for Life: a fundraiser that allows ReachOut.com Australia to provide free online support to 3.6 million young Australians annually.
The more laps you swim the closer you or your club get to winning some amazing prizes:
- a club visit from the legendary Olympian Ian Thorpe AM, or
- a professional filming experience and club video provided by Swimming NSW's videographer Fish Out Of Water Media, or
- the opportunity to train at our Olympic Park Performance Hub with members of the Australian Dolphins swim team.
Get the full details on this challenge, prizes and how to register your club as a team below:

The Road to Country Champs
with Swimming NSW Regional Coaching Director, Chris Myers
“Regional swimming is the backbone of swimming in NSW,” said Chris (Myers). “There’s 264 clubs in regional NSW. It’s really important to care for the participation swimmer base in NSW first of all. And historically if you look back on swimmers who have represented Australia who have come from NSW, many of them have come from regional areas. Recent examples are James Magnussen (Port Macquarie), Matt Wilson (Springwood), and David and Emma McKeon (Wollongong), just to name a few.
“It shows the talent base is within the regions. That’s why supporting regional swimming is so important, not just to encourage participation but to nurture the performance side of swimming in NSW.”
Chris has spent the last two weeks travelling through the Riverina visiting clubs. While he’s in Albury he’ll catch up with the swimmers and coaches at Albury North Lavington SC and Albury SC. Then he’s off to Wagga Wagga and Tumut.
As Regional Coaching Director, Chris spends most of his time on the road, seeing the beautiful parts of NSW that most people don’t get to see in their lifetime. His main priority though is to support regional coaches, swimmers and clubs through regular face-to-face visits...

2020 Senior State Age
There were some outstanding moments at 2020 Senior State Age that made us a bit excited about what the future holds for our Mighty Blues!
As the curtain closed on a successful State Age championships, coronavirus reared its head. This new outbreak forced our swimming community to once again adapt to a fresh set of challenges.
Moving forward with Open Water Championships while our friends at Warringah, Narrabeen and Manly stayed home served as an unfortunate reminder to all that COVID-19 is still very much part of our lives.
Our Mighty Blues soldiered on through a 5k cancellation and public health restrictions throughout the Christmas holidays. There was some light at the end of the tunnel when on 30 January, we were able to host a rescheduled 5k event and welcome back competitors from around the state.
