Take Action...
After 5 Delays, Idaho Power's Energy Plan Gets Hearing @ the Oregon PUC

Speak Out This Tuesday!

Oregon Public Utilities Commission's interest is
the “least-cost, least risk” energy plan.

  • The B2H is financially risky.
  • The B2H is NOT climate friendly; its a fire risk.
  • Idaho Power does NOT have an energy need.
  • STOP has found erroneous data in the plan.
  • We've exposed their green-washing.
Recently, the Governor has assigned the OPUC a significant role in oversight of utility wildfire prevention planning too.

Didn’t we do this before?
Yes, a year ago & two years ago & the two years before that!  Some things haven’t changed -- but a lot has changed -- as predicted. The OPUC needs to know that you are still watching!  Check out the Talking Points above.

We had a great 2020, challenging Idaho Power in multiple arenas. Your kind donations have allowed us to maintain our momentum. This is what we have been up to and we hope to share more on these activities next month.

On Monday oral arguments were heard in our Federal NEPA lawsuit in the 9th Circuit Court. The NEPA suit is about demanding a Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement. It’s focus is on imperiled Sage Grouse, the National OR Trail Interpretive Ctr, and the two routes in Union Co that never had a public comment period.

At the same time, 36 dedicated volunteers continue to push back in the contested case at State Energy Facilities Siting Council (EFSC), contesting 76 issues in the siting of the line. Since the start of the year, we have faced deadlines on a nearly bi-weekly basis, which has kept folks extremely busy!
