EUROPA CANTAT Festival: Registrations closed
A Message from the Organising Team
|
|
Dear friends of the EUROPA CANTAT festival,
We were very happy and deeply honoured to see the number of registrations for the EUROPA CANTAT Festival in Ljubljana this coming July. At the same time we realized that the trust put in us also means a big responsibility towards the participants, the musicians involved, and the audience.
We are therefore constantly monitoring the situation in Slovenia and elsewhere, and are in regular contact with the government, with which we will have to agree on the conditions under which the event can take place. Last week, the team, the music commission and the steering committee had a number of meetings to start working on concrete concepts which will allow rehearsals and performances in safe conditions.
All those involved in the festival will directly be informed regularly.
Any additional information about the festival can be found on https://europacantat.jskd.si/.
See you in July in Ljubljana!

zoom café: What's the Image of Collective Singing in 2021?
ECA-EC zoom café #2
25 March, 3 pm CET
Whitout physical meetings, ECA-EC zoom cafés offer you a stage to discuss hot topics in choral Europe:
What's the Image of Collective SInging in 2021?
Yes, we all are facing challenges and it's been going on for a while now. But what is the image collective singing sends to the outside world? How is it perceived by 'others'; non-singers, decision-makers, the media, etc. ..? And how can this image be improved?
|
|
You'll also hear from the campaign on the Benefits of Collective Singing, a campaign that we would like to conduct this spring with the help of our members all over Europe and beyond!
ECA-EC members, keep an eye on your email inboxes for the invitation to this session!

Grants for Peer-to-Peer Training
There will be a time when choral life is back to what we want it to be! Singing together, ejoying each other's company, meeting friends from far away.
Learning from one another, sharing experience, visions and inspiration is key to bring back choral life once lockdown is lifted. Together, we all have the chance to shape the future of choral music, of the choral community and the whole sector.
ECA-EC is offering grants to facilitate this much-needed exchange and learning opportunities. Choirs working with guest conductors, staff, board or youth committee members visiting colleagues from other organisations, and cultural professionals meeting to join forces and explore ways how to restart choral singing. We support you in this endeavour and we'd love to hear about your exchange projects!
Find more information and inspiring stories of previous exchanges on our website.

A major fire destroyed the data centre hosting Musica's server on the morning of 10 March. The website should be back up while you are reading this, but if you are still unable to reach the online database, please be patient and rather send your words of support to Musica instead of complaints.
Thank you!
